Effective September 3, 2024, the provisions of P.L. 2024, c. 16 will take effect. Below is the link to the OPRA request form updated to reflect the new form requirements contained in N.J.S.A. 47:1A-5(f) and N.J.S.A. 47:1A-5(g)

The New Jersey Open Public Records Act (OPRA), effective July 8, 2002, affords individuals greater access to government records for both inspection and duplication. The public has access to government records, except those documents which fall under the defined exclusions. The Municipal Clerk has been designate as the official Custodian of Records. With the completion of the Request for Public Records form and delivery to the Municipal Clerk, access to most documents can be attained.
